Design Direction / Amber Dohrenwend & AMCP Studio

Created for the reopening of Bellavita, Woven Bonds was developed in collaboration with American artist Amber Dohrenwend, marking AMCP Studio’s first project with an international artist.

Dohrenwend’s intricate insect sculptures, crafted from recycled cardboard, transform everyday materials into delicate organic forms. Set within the Hermès window, these works created a dialogue between nature, craft, and material exploration, bringing a sense of lightness and quiet movement to the reopening display.

Developed during the pandemic, the project required AMCP Studio to manage a complex remote collaboration across distance and uncertainty. From logistics and material sourcing to virtual meetings, fabrication coordination, and on-site installation, the studio worked closely with the artist, Hermès Taiwan, and the production team to keep the project within budget and schedule.

Despite the limitations of the period, AMCP Studio maintained the quality and precision required for this special opening window. The result was a delicate and resilient installation that reflected both the artist’s material sensitivity and the studio’s ability to translate an international collaboration into a fully realized luxury retail environment.
