Challenge
Make the exhaustion of ocean resources tangible within a historic building connected to Keelung’s fishing port.
Strategy
Imagine an archaeological discovery in 2249: the fossil of a fictional marine creature marked by carbonization, mineral traces, and fragments of plastic. A future specimen becomes a way to look back at choices being made today.
Solution
The former specimen room of the Zhengbin Fisheries Association Building becomes a quiet memorial for an imagined extinct species. Fossil-like forms, suspended structures, sound, and shadow invite reflection on the ocean’s possible future.
